Stage Marielle Franco
The Marielle Franco Stage (Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation) at Humanity Summit 2024 is named in honor of the courageous Brazilian politician, feminist, and human rights activist who was tragically assassinated for her fight against injustice and social inequality. Marielle Franco tirelessly advocated for the rights of women, Black people, and LGBTQ+ communities in Brazil. Her legacy inspires the programming of this stage, which will be the center of discussions on social justice, identity, resilience, and reparations, aligning with the principles of equity and dignity that Marielle embodied. This stage will celebrate her causes through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and cultural performances with the goal of promoting social transformation..
